Today I want to start a Terminology column with you and share words from the NFT and cryptocurrency field every day, to keep everyone on the same page.

The term: Minting

Minting is the process of creating a non-exchangeable token with its "registration" on the blockchain or, more simply, turning your digital art into NFT.

To mint an NFT you have to pay a commission to the network. The information about the non-interchangeable token and its author will then be included in the blockchain.

The NFT collection Annihilation from artist Ellen Sheidlin (who has 4.4 million Instagram followers) will be on exhibit at the Louvre Museum in Paris at the digital art festival Focus Art Fair from Sept. 1 to 14.

In June, the famous artist launched her first-ever NFT collection on the TON blockchain.

In addition to being an artist, I am also a collector with more than 40 paintings and sculptures that I've brought from various parts of the world. 2022-07-12 10:58:24 Today my collection will go on sale and many people ask me how to buy my NFTs. I’m launching on the TON blockchain, where the main cryptocurrency is called Toncoin. It might seem that buying crypto is hard and scary, but in fact it’s very similar to a usual bank transfer.

First, you need to download Tonkeeper wallet that is used to make purchases on the TON blockchain. It’s a simple and user-friendly app that I use myself. The main thing is to pay attention to the 24 words that you get when first creating the wallet. It’s a special seed phrase that you get to see only once. That’s why you have to write these words down on a separate piece of paper and keep it in a safe place. If you lose the seed phrase, you will also lose access to your wallet, the funds and the NFTs attached to it.

This upcoming Tuesday you’ll be able to get NFTs from Ellen Sheidlin’s collection “Annihilation”. The distribution of artworks will be random. This means that you might obtain any NFT — maybe it’ll be one of the rarest elements of the collection, Genesis stones that were hand-drawn by the artist.

Right after the purchase you’ll only see the stone that you get at random. It will take 6 days for the soul inside the stone to mature and reveal itself — after this period of time you’ll see the avatar previously hidden. We were lucky to have a glimpse at the avatars, and they are simply incredible.

2022-07-10 18:30:14 Today I’d like to tell you more details about the difference between NFTs of my collection “Annihilation”, and about the rarest souls. All 1000 avatars are divided into 4 races: plants, animals, insects and birds. Every soul is visually and conceptually connected to its race.

There are 28 really rare and valuable Genesis souls that were created from my hand-drawn sketches, without the use of neural networks. In addition to the Genesis group, there are three more special ones: Annihilation, Rare, Natural.

Annihilation is a part of the collection in which patterns intertwine and exhibit the maximum variety of forms and volumes. Rare objects are the hardest to encounter — you have to look carefully to find one. Natural ones are common, and every Natural soul has its own unique story.

My collection will launch on July 12th on the TON Diamonds marketplace, and 6 days after the launch all avatar souls will be disclosed. There’s so little time left till you are able to see all of the artworks with your own eyes. Открыть/Комментировать

2022-07-08 19:29:04 NFT collection “Annihilation” based on TON is created from sketches hand-drawn by me.

“Annihilation” is different from many NFT projects because the collection objects are created using my own hand-crafted drawings. Some of the collection pieces came entirely from my imagination — I personally drew them on a graphics tablet. The rest of the avatars were generated with the help of neural networks using the details from my sketches. While drawing and perfecting the avatars, I dedicated a part of me and a piece of my soul to each one. It was such a delight to see the results of my art and technology amalgamating into new, unexpected creatures!

With each day, we are getting closer to the moment when we all get to see the outcome. In the following days I will continue sharing my experience with creating first NFT collection and I’ll definitely let you know about the launch in this channel. Открыть/Комментировать

2022-07-07 20:07:07 My first NFT collection is called “Annihilation”

Every art object is a stone with its unique soul. Today I’d like to tell you more about how I came up with this idea and share the feelings, thoughts and meanings I’m devoting to this project.

These stones came out of my body but I’m just a guardian. The stones had existed long before the first artist appeared on Earth. I’m feeling some sort of pressure in my heart, it’s because of vague ideas, unspoken thoughts, unfulfilled dreams. The stones create this pressure and I’m strong enough to withstand it and too weak to let them go. My body is filled to the brim and it’s pulling me downwards. There’s no air. I drowned, shut myself and lay there, yearningly thinking about the heavy weight inside of me. And then there was annihilation: water turned to air, and the stone guardian turned to nothing. Forgetting about myself, I descended so deep that suddenly I happened to be in the sky, pushed off the rough clouds and took off.

I can’t wait for the moment when I get to free the stones and their souls, opening up what’s been hiding inside of me for so long. I know and believe that it will happen very soon. Открыть/Комментировать
