Patience and Work: July Donation Statistics

Friends, everyone noticed the delay in the mailing of donations for July. Sadly, it was due to illness of most of the ARL team members. We are now getting back to work and plan to do more!

First things first: We have decided to redistribute donation shares in favor of holders! Tier0 and Tier4 are now allocated an extra 10% of our team's share!

FOR THOSE WITH THE SEA TUGGING AT THEIR KNEES

Friends, we want to share some great news with you!

The week devoted to whales is over, but that does not mean that we plan to part ways with them. In the near future, whale holders will get access to the beta testing of our game. As soon as the testing starts, we will send each of you an exclusive invitation. Of course, you won't be left without details on how to take part in the testing, either!

Good luck and stay tuned for the next posts!

By the way, do you have any guesses as to what the animals next week will be about? You can leave your guesses in the comments below the post!

WHALES IN ART

Friends, today we have a story to share about whales in art - their image and meaning!

The story that moved us concerns the painting "View of Scheveningen Sands" by Dutchman Hendrick van Anthonissen. When it was donated to the Fitzwilliam Museum, it depicted only the coast, along with a group of people. Art historians wondered: what prompted the pandemonium? Soon enough, an image of a whale washed ashore was discovered under a layer of paint. Apparently, our hero had been painted over for aesthetic reasons, in the 18th or 19th centuries.

Our ARL project considers whales not only beautiful, but also worthy of being safe! With our NFTs, we are trying to draw attention to the increasing incidence of whales being washed ashore. Human activities, such as sonar waves, are also impacting this. By stressing cetaceans, they lead to tragic consequences!

2022-08-03 21:32:18ALL WHALES ARE IMPORTANT

Friends, today we’ll tell you why whales hold one of the most honorable places in our ARL project!

Agreed, not everyone knows that whales play a special role in the nutrient cycle. Whales make them available to plankton living, in the upper layers of water. Whales move nutrients from deep in the ocean to the surface, and vast distances from their feeding grounds, by following their migratory pathways!

We're sure there are some real whales among our subscribers, too! As you know, whales are commonly referred to as large crypto-investors. Such giants act professionally, choosing the most promising investment options. Whales are followed by many asset holders, supporting the whole ecosystem of the crypto market!

By the way, for our NFT holders with whales, we prepared something very interesting... Stay tuned for more posts later in the week.

And while keeping the intrigue alive, we invite you to appreciate a selection of NFTs from our collection! See you again, friends

2022-08-02 20:16:48WHALE'S WEEK: THE BLUE WHALE

Today, we’ll tell you about the blue whale. In our collection, it is far from the rarest representative, but it has earned everyone's attention and adoration, as it is the largest animal on our planet.

BLUE WHALE IN ARL

Name: ARL Balaenoptera Musculus
Tier: 2
SubTier: Common
Class: Mammals

WHY ARE THEY ABOUT TO BE EXTINCT?

The invention of the harpoon gun, in 1864, led to a dramatic decline in the blue whale population. The numbers of these giants began to decline rapidly, due to uncontrolled whaling. In 1963, the blue whale was nearly extinct, with no more than 5,000 individuals remaining worldwide.

Although in recent years there has been an upward trend, in the population of these animals, at present the blue whale is still very rare, with a total population of less than 15,000 individuals.

The greatest threat to the whales today is the severe pollution of the seas.

LIFESTYLE AND FACTS

- Adults are up to 30 meters long and weigh up to 200 tons;

- The car-sized heart of a blue whale can be heard up to two miles away! And its vessels are so wide that you could swim through them;

- Blue whales live an average of 80 to 90 years. The oldest known blue whale lived to be 110 years old.

2022-07-21 23:36:07 It's finally happened!
Red List has been updated.

Today, on July 21, the Red List site was updated, and lots of animals changed their status

All transitioned NFT pets will get a new pawl the other day, but we want to give you some advice:

The transition information is available now, and you still have time to purchase a cool NFT. That will visually change tier, also, in a couple of days.

We are publishing a table with all the transitions!

Who is the first to navigate, and figure things out, the X's will be coming to them.

2022-07-21 14:17:44One of the most eagerly awaited days is on the doorstep!

Today, the International Red List is to publish changes in the classification of certain animal species.
This moment is the one our large community has been waiting for with bated breath.

We hope that these changes are not only of utilitarian value for you
We believe that you started to take part in the ARL project, and began to care more about, the fate of red-legged animals.

For all of you who are concerned about animals from the Red List, we publish several fascinating facts about them:

- Red List animals live not only in nature reserves, but also in protected areas.
For example, Moscow, one of the largest megalopolises, is home to 16 species of animals listed in the Red List: weasel, hazel dormouse, common cougar, ermine, water vole, squirrel hare, several species of bats, as well as others.

- The long-eared hedgehog, whose females are virtually indistinguishable from the males, can live without food (eating mostly insects) and water, for up to 10 weeks.

- Ghanaian dolphins prefer to live in muddy rivers with slow currents, and are very fond of swimming on their sides. And their pregnancies last 8-9 months, and are usually single-fertile - just like humans!

- In 2015, the new "European Red List of Birds " included 67 species, of the 533 species, inhabiting these territories, which is almost 13%!
At the same time, the status of 29 species was upgraded, which is a negative trend.

But 20 species managed to improve their status, and remain non-threatened in Europe.
