Visa files Web3-related trademark applications
Payments giant Visa has filed trademark applications for crypto wallets, NFTs, and the metaverse.
Visa, following MasterCard and American Express, intends to start offering Web3 services to users soon. The company plans to provide its customers with the opportunity to make transactions with cryptocurrencies and NFTs.
Visa also plans to launch its own crypto wallet, develop software for auditing cryptocurrencies and create its own virtual environment.
This is not the company's first step toward Web3. Previously, it was reported that Blockchain.com is launching a cryptocurrency debit card in partnership with Visa.
