Taika Waititi revealed that Thor: Love and Thunder was inspired by romance novels. The upcoming offer from Marvel will appear within a month. As announced, one of the first pictures of the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been delayed several times, like many other Marvel films. The reason for this was the coronavirus pandemic,
closed cinemas for a long time. Despite the difficult environment, Waititi still completed the painting on time. Despite this, due to the franchise's very busy schedule, marketing didn't begin until almost April of this year.

In his conversation with Wired reporters, oddly enough, Waititi admitted,
that when writing the plot of Thor: Love and Thunder, he decided to approach it as a love story. The director cited the visual effects of the covers of old romance novels as an example. Check out the interview excerpts from Wired reporters:
“For obvious contractual reasons, Waititi couldn't tell me much about Thor: Love and Thunder, which is set to release on July 8 this year. What became known was the fact that he tried to write the script as a love story,
and its visual inspirations are the famous classic comics of Hardy and the covers of numerous old romance novels in the Mills end Boon series. He himself said that he tried to make the film "unexpected", at least within the boundaries of the genre.
