Teen Wolf Star ARDEN CHO TALKED ABOUT THE INJUSTICE IN THE PAYMENT OF THE ACTORS

'Teen Wolf' star Arden Cho has spoken out about turning down her role in the upcoming film. Although the series first aired in 2011, the actress did not join the main cast until Season 3, 2014. Recall that in the series, Cho played Kira Yukimura, a teenage girl of Asian descent. According to the plot,
the heroine Cho possessed numerous inhuman abilities, including the ability to absorb electricity and even control it. In seasons 4 and 5, Cho became a series regular.

In her new interview with The Cut, Cho spoke about the salary dispute and the decision in principle not to return to the feature film Teen Wolf.
She explained this by saying that the actual salary offered to her was less than she wanted, saying that this problem is only part of a much larger problem of wage inequality. Cho stated that all Asian American actors experience this. The actress said
that she turned down her role not because she was offended, but because she hoped that such a move would change attitudes towards Asians in Hollywood. Check out Cho's comments below:

“I was offered less than I thought. And that's the problem. I can offhand think of dozens of Asian American actors,
who received significantly less than others. But sometimes you just don't have a choice, so you have to say yes. Sometimes it's just necessary. I have bills to pay, so I'm filming. In this situation, I said “no” not out of resentment or something like that. I did this to ensure we have equality in the future."
