KARL URBAN REMEMBERED HIS ROLE IN THE LORD OF THE RINGS

During his conversation with The Guardian about the upcoming third season of The Boys, Urban spoke about the completely fortuitous situation that landed him a role in The Lord of the Rings. Discussing his own philosophy of never missing an opportunity, the actor returned to his native New Zealand,
where he made several small films. One of these pictures, The Price of Milk, was directed by Harry Sinclair, a close friend of Peter Jackson. Sinclair showed Jackson his rough cut of the film starring Karl Urban. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Check out Karl Urban's comments on his surprise role in the iconic Lord of the Rings below:

“I am a firm believer in the philosophy that a missed opportunity can come back, which is why I returned to New Zealand at that point to do a few films with local directors.
One such project was a short film called The Price of Milk. The film was directed by Harry Sinclair. And Harry was a very good friend of Peter Jackson, so he made a little sketch to show the footage to Peter. I happened to be face to face with Peter Jackson,
when he was looking for an actor to play Eomer in his version of The Lord of the Rings.
