Sasha Calle, who co-starred in The Flash, is proud to be the first Latino actress to play a Supergirl character when she joins the DCEU world in 2023.

While The Flash was originally scheduled for release this fall, Warner Bros. decided to reschedule it to next summer
. Without revealing any spoilers, the actress went into detail about her work with the director of The Flash and the great opportunity that came with playing the role of Supergirl. During filming, the actress was thrilled to see herself from the outside and in action, knowing that she would be the first ever Latina actress to ever

“Your representation in the entertainment industry matters a lot, and to be honest, I'm honored to be the first ever Latin American Supergirl. There was a moment when we were working and the director said: "Hey, come here and look at this scene on the monitor."
I come up and see myself from the side in all its glory. Then I got very emotional. I looked at it and thought, "I wish I had something like this when I was little." It meant a lot to me. So this is really important. I am very happy and grateful to DC with Warner Brothers for doing this right now.
