DAVID EYER WILL REMOVE JASON STATEM IN THE FILM "BEEKEEPER"

David Ayer, best known for his work on the 2016 film Suicide Squad, plans to cast actor Jason Statham in the unusual action movie The Beekeeper. The performer signed up for the filming of the film last year. The project from Miramax is being created according to a special script by Kurt Wimmer ("Equilibrium"). This story is said to be
something like "a lightning-fast thriller deeply imbued with the mythology of traditional beekeeping." This is where the unorthodox aspect of the film comes into play.

David Ayer made a name for himself as the screenwriter of Antoine Fuqua's Training Day and the very first film in the Fast and Furious franchise. A little later, however, he began to direct his own films,
based on very raw, realistic and very disturbing stories.

It was recently revealed that the writer/director will direct The Beekeeper, marking the first collaboration between him and actor Statham. Both have made a name for themselves working in the hardcore thriller and action genres, so their collaboration probably fits
what the script from Wimmer calls for. Miramax is expected to present the film at Cannes later this month, which should allow the film to enter production quickly. With David Ayer and Jason Statham, the film should sell well, especially when you remember
that their cumulative box office to date is over $10 billion.
