KEVIN SMITH TALKED ABOUT WORKING ON NEW FILMS
Following his recent return to the View Askewniverse, director/writer Kevin Smith provided some promising insights into his upcoming films, confirming he's actively working with Lionsgate:
“I always wanted to make a film called Moose Jaws (Moose Jaws), but there was no way.
And then the good guys from Lionsgate made me an offer. As a result, thanks to their help, the picture will see the light of day. As for Clerks 3, Lionsgate has the rights to release Jay and Silent Bob Reboot and some of my other projects on physical media for home distribution. Saban own the theatrical rights with us,
and Universal handles overseas distribution. But Lionsgate have the ability to work with physical media. And they still release Blu-rays, DVDs, steelbooks and all that stuff. Finally, a few months after the release of the last part of Jay and Silent Bob, I got a call from Lionsgate and said,
that they have sold a lot of copies of the film and want a sequel.
