DISNEY LOSE MONEY BECAUSE OF "WERAND WORLD"
During the production phase, the animated film Strange World was considered one of the most promising for the company. It was assumed that the picture could become one of the leaders of the box office, but at the moment this has not happened. Instead of the expected result, the cartoon failed at the box office,
grossing less than $12 million in its early days from thousands of North American theaters. Over the Thanksgiving holiday, the animated film was able to earn less than $20 million, well below initial estimates.
Financiers believe that if the situation does not change in the near future,
and the cartoon does not increase its popularity among viewers, this can lead to big losses. Experts believe that "Weird World" will lose at least $100 million at the box office.
