— Stocks: stakes in a company's ownership that can be bought on the stock exchange. Holders of shares are entitled to a share of the company's profits;
— Bonds: these are debentures that are issued to raise capital. Owners receive an interest that is paid to them for a certain period of time, after which they get their investment back;
— Promissory notes: are promissory notes, but in commercial transactions. A bill of exchange is a document that guarantees payment within a certain period of time. Often used to finance short-term transactions.
