A couple of terms from the world of investing
So, there are many terms in investing, but let's start at the beginning. For example, what is an issuer, securities and a depositary, do you know?
— Issuer: is a company or government that issues securities to get capital from investors;
— Securities: are documents that certify investors' rights to receive income or to vote at shareholders' meetings. Examples of securities include stocks, bonds, and bills of exchange
(more on this later).
— Depositary: is an entity that holds securities on behalf of their holders and conducts transactions with them, such as transfers and sales.
