2022-12-22 13:13:35 First Web3 Hackathon in Kazakhstan by BNB Chain x Astana IT University

The event is aimed at attracting 200 student developers to give them an opportunity to interact with the BNB Chain developer community and test their Web3 skills in practice.

The hackathon will also feature the signing of a partnership memorandum between BNB Chain and AITU, marking the beginning of long-term cooperation between the two parties.

The event will take place on December 24 and 25 at Astana IT University and is expected to attract more than 200 participants.

Since the start of registration, our team has been getting quite a lot of questions related to the upcoming Definition x BNB Chain hackathon.

We decided to make a Q&A post with answers to the most frequently asked questions:

Q: Is registration for the hackathon open?
A: Yes, it is! You can see all the necessary information on our website. Registration link.

Q: Can I register as a team?
A: Yes, of course! Our registration form has two forms: one for teams and one for individuals.
In case of registering with an existing team, the team captain must fill out the appropriate form, after which a representative of the organizer will contact you to further clarify all necessary details.

Q: Can I register if I have NO team?
A: Yes, of course! As we said earlier, our registration form has a form, in addition to the team form, for registering individual participants! Our team will contact you after receiving such an application and will try to help you create a team from those participants who registered as individuals in the same way.
When registering individually, it is very important that you fill in all fields in the registration form with your abilities and skills, so that our team can help you find a team faster.

Q: When does registration end?
A: Registration closes on the 9th at 3pm. After that, we will model applications and task mentors will select the participating 20-25 teams in each track, whose captains will receive a special email with an invitation to participate.

Q: Where can I find out what the golden ticket is and what is the BNB Chain Innovations hackathon?
A: That's a great question! The BNB team will be happy to answer your questions in the chat room.

Q: I have technical questions about the challenges! Where can I get answers?
A: The BNB Chain chat team will be happy to help and answer any questions! Also, for very technical questions, there is a BNB Chain discord team that is also happy to answer you all!

Q: When do I need to register? If I do it today and not on the last day, will it do any good?
A: Yes, it will! The earlier you register, the earlier we can help with team building for individually registered participants, and for teams already formed - a higher chance of passing the censorship of the hackathon mentors!

Q: The hackathon will be held on the 10th and 11th. Is it an offline event? If yes, are there any suggestions for accommodating participants from the organizers?
A: That's right, the hackathon will take place from the morning of the 10th to the evening of the 11th of September. We have made provision to stay overnight at the venue itself, which is very important for the spirit of the hackathon. Also, our team has the opportunity to give a discounted rate for staying in a hostel close to the hackathon venue itself! After registration, you will be contacted by representatives of the hackathon team, who you can contact for information about this.
