Cryptocurrency companies are threatened by hacker groups sponsored by North Korean authorities, the U.S. government says.
The warning was published on the website of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection Agency (CISA).
Hackers could attack crypto exchanges, DeFi protocols, GameFi projects, and venture capital firms, the CISA warned.
Private investors are also at risk, the statement said.
Last week, the U.S. imposed sanctions against Lazarus Group.
The Treasury Department blacklisted an Ethereum wallet belonging to the group.
At the same time, the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said Lazarus Group and another hacker group APT3 were involved in the theft of $620 million worth of Ethereum cryptocurrency.
