По итогам 2023 года криптокомпании и биржи уволили почти 3000 специалистов. Причем блокчейн-сектор сокращал рабочие места, несмотря на взлет биткоина и других цифровых валют.

В феврале негативный тренд сохранился, однако темпы увольнений заметно снизились, сообщает портал Cointelegraph. В прошлом месяце работы лишились 570 человек. Персонал сократили 12 крупнейших блокчейн-компаний, включая Coinbase и Huobi.

Разработчики программного обеспечения, такие как Messari и Elliptic, уволили примерно 10% сотрудников. Основатель Messari Райан Селкис написал в Твиттере, что его команда меняет бизнес-модель из-за сложной обстановки на рынке.

Аналитические компании Elliptic и Chainalysis попрощались с 20 и 44 сотрудниками соответственно.

Исследователи указывают на два важнейших события в индустрии - это крушение Terra и банкротство FTX. Именно они стали основными факторами, резко усугубившими обстановку на рынке и заставившими компании перейти к оптимизации бизнеса.
