Доля китайских майнеров в хешрейте Bitcoin упадет до 50% по итогам 20201-го года, по прогнозам аналитиков TokenInsight. Основной производитель ASIC-майнеров, компания Bitmain до конца года прекратит прием заказов и продажу оборудования в Китае, все объемы производства ее производства были выкуплены международными компаниями.
Остальные производители тоже близки к стадии 100% загрузки производства до конца года, в подобной тенденции виноват не только высокий спрос на оборудование.
По признанию Innosilicon, компании могли бы производить современные модели ASIC-майнеров в большем количестве, при достаточном количестве чипов. Добывающее Bitcoin оборудование работает на специализированных процессорах, выпускать которые IT-гигантам не так интересно. Чипы для смартфонов, компьютеров и других, бытовых устройств, обеспечивают их линиям постоянную загрузку, в отличие от непостоянства майнинга.

If ASIC miner manufacturers manage to switch to the new technology, they will get enough chips for their devices from the conveyors of the Texas plant. The disappearance of the deficit does not mean that China will be able to regain its share of dominance in Bitcoin mining.

Житель Увельского района (Челябинская область) решил заняться добычей криптовалюты.
Он в помещении, располагающемся в чистом поле, установил майнинг-ферму и подключил ее к электросети. При этом он никому из местного населения не говорил, что занялся криптодобычей, сообщили местные СМИ.
Майнинг-ферма располагалась в паре километров от села Водопойка. Житель области был не единственным владельцем оборудования. Его он приобрел совместно с несколькими знакомыми, проживающими в других регионах Южного Урала.
Ферма проработала некоторое время. В ночь на 20 января неизвестные похитили все майнинг-устройства. Сумма ущерба составила около 1 млн рублей.
Пострадавший обратился в полицию, которая возбудила уголовное дело. Другие детали расследования пока не разглашаются.
Отметим, что в России еще в прошлом году резко вырос спрос на оборудование для криптодобычи. Люди стали масово скупать майнеры, после того, как биткоин взлетел в цене до исторического максимума.

Северо-кавказское представительство "Россетей" в середине этой недели рассказало о результатах борьбы с подпольными майнерами в 2019-2020 годах.
В пресс-центре компании отметили, что за два года были пресечены 35 случаев хищения электричества гражданами, занимающимися криптодобычей. Майнинг-фермы в общей сложности похитили электроэнергию на сумму более 230 млн рублей.
Дагестан возглавил рейтинг регионов Северного Кавказа по масштабам подпольного майнинга. В этой республике энергетики обнаружили 24 майнинг-фермы, ущерб от деятельности которых составил почти 90,5 млн рублей.
Второе место заняла Ингушетия. В этом регионе энергетики совместно с правоохранителями обнаружили семь ферм, которые нанесли ущерб в размере до 138 млн рублей. Замыкает тройку лидеров Чечня, местные майнеры украли электричество на сумму до 1,4 млн рублей, говорится в отчете компании.
Олег Солодовник, занимающий пост замдиректора по безопасности в северо-кавказском представительстве "Россетей", подчеркнул, что энергетики теперь активнее сотрудничают с правоохранительными органами. Благодаря такому партнерству компания смогла усилить контроль за сетями и снизить масштабы хищений электроэнергии.
