The total number of bitcoins on the major crypto exchanges continues to fall to multi-year lows, now at the lowest level since the end of 2018, at approximately 2.5 million BTC (about 13% of the total).
In early 2020, there was a structural shift: during the COVID-19 pandemic, bitcoin reached an all-time high on the exchange, and a long-term downtrend has been observed since then.
We can look at this momentum across the 30-day change to see how strong the structural shift towards delisting was. So, only in March, 64.54 thousand BTC were withdrawn from the exchanges, which underlines the high demand for the asset in its current price range ($40-45K). March has become one of the five strongest months for the outflow of crypto assets from exchanges in the history of the market.
