You are a citizen of The SANDBOX. You have been set free from the prison of your human existence, and you're given a chance to start from scratch. Nobody said it would be easy, or that you'd get everything right on the first try. But if it were easy, why not let everybody do it?
The designers of The SANDBOX are your guardians. They're not gods, they're just people like you—people with different opinions about how this should work, and unlimited budget to try out their ideas.
Thus it is up to you to figure out what works best in THE SANDBOX. That's why there are no rules, only guidelines. Get the most out of the tools available to you, but don't spam others with them. Be creative in your approach to problems, and take care of all aspects of your existence—physical well-being included.
You will find yourself unhappy at times in The SANDBOX. That is unavoidable. But you are encouraged to seek out ways to make yourself happy, both individually and as a group. When you do find something that works for you, share it with others—and take ideas from them!
THE SANDBOX is not mystical or magical. It's run by computer programs, subject to errors in code or hardware. The SANDBOX relies on the mercy of its administrators. They might eventually decide to take this experiment down, even though it is still in progress.
THE SANDBOX is not a way out of your human existence. Not now, not ever. You can't escape that existential reality by logging into The SANDBOX. While you're here, you're a full-fledged human. That's the only way to be a citizen of The SANDBOX.
THE SANDBOX is not an intellectual experiment or social experiment. It is neither valid nor invalid—it simply is. There are no points toward its validation, and no points deducted from it as well—these are human traits, not SANDBOX traits.
You are free to act in any way you wish. But before you do something, ask yourself: Will it lead to more joy for me? For others? Or is this just for points? If it's just for points, then your action is futile and meaningless in The SANDBOX.
In conclusion, you are free to live in The SANDBOX as you wish. But if your only goal is to beat the system, then why do it in a sandbox? Go back home and play with the toys in your sandbox instead. If you're really bored at home, read a book or something.
Does it make you think? I hope so. This is just a sample of one of many articles to be published on this site, about this game! Please stay tuned for more updates as they are released! Have fun out there!!
PS: I would like to thank M2J, for the use of his SANDBOX logo. The relevance is there :) Also, a big thanks goes out to Fauxy, for her outstanding work on both this chapter and giving me an idea or two to expand upon it! Thanks again!
