WeChat has integrated digital yuan
The most popular Chinese social network and payment system WeChat (more than 1 billion monthly active users) has added e-CNY to its services.
For now, WeChat Pay allows e-CNY payments only in certain applications, such as ordering food at McDonald's or paying bills. But soon the company promises to introduce direct transactions in CBDC between WeChat users.
