MIKE FLANAGAN DREAMS TO MAKE THE DARK TOWER
Director and screenwriter Mike Flanagan has admitted that he dreams of adapting Stephen King's The Dark Tower series. In an interview with IGN, he said that he would like to film the series of books in a way that retains the spirit of the original source, without making major changes and without changing the story, which is loved by millions of readers around the world:
“This is my lifelong dream. The cycle has what I call its own gravity. I always return to this series of books. I can't get too far away from her. There is probably no greater honor for me than adapting The Dark Tower. I would be very happy if I had such an opportunity. But I also have my own requirements.
I am sure that such great works should be adapted in accordance with what was written by the author of the original source.
