Lucasfilm's plans for Star Wars could be a good sign for fans of the franchise. After Disney officially bought Lucasfilm from their creator George Lucas, the franchise returned to the big screen with some very ambitious plans. A trilogy of sequels set decades after the iconic Return of the Jedi
introduced many new characters such as Finn (John Boyega), Rey (Daisy Ridley), Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac). However, the successful series released on Disney+ forced the studio to change its plans for the future.

While the future of the Star Wars franchise is clearly visible on Disney+,
There is still a huge interest in watching movies set in a galaxy far, far away. Lucasfilm is currently working on several films at once, but there have been no official announcements for Star Wars: Episode X yet. But comments by Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy clearly suggest
