Original director Neill Blomkamp provided updates on his film District 9.

Inspired by the history of Cape Town's District 6 and filmed entirely in Johannesburg, the director's hometown, District 9, released in 2009, was the breakthrough sci-fi film of the decade.

It seems that a new film is just around the corner, as Blomkamp himself revealed in an interview with Dexerto. Discussing his work on a new multiplayer shooter in the direction of the royal battle,
Blomkamp shared a small update on the film's sequel, confirming that he's still working on it. The director also noted that there is not much time left before the publication of new information. Read his words below:
