JEREMY SLATER SHARED THOUGHTS ON REED RICHARDS

Jeremy Slater, writer of Fantastic Four (2015) and Moon Knight, has shared his own thoughts on Reed Richards's incarnation in the popular MCU. Slater spoke at length about his time working on director Josh Trank's infamous Fantastic Four, saying that,
although he was originally brought in to write the first draft, he suddenly found it a difficult environment to work in and left the project after six months. Very little of what he worked on ended up being included in the final cut of the film, including the planned line for the villain Galactus,
written by Slater using his vast knowledge of the original comics.

For Slater, Reed Richards has to be tough. In his conversation with Inverse, the writer emphasized that he had no knowledge of Kevin Feige & Co.'s approach, but said that many versions of Mister Fantastic have an odd tendency to portray him as a weak character.
Describing his admiration for the hero, Slater admitted that this should not be the case in the new Marvel movie. Read his quote below:

“Honestly, I have no idea what they do with the hero, but I can only speak for myself. As a longtime fan of Reed Richards, he just needs to be made cool. He doesn't have to be an old man."
