WB CONSIDERED REPLACING AMBER HEARD IN AQUAMEN SEQUEL

Walter Hamada, CEO of Warner Bros. Pictures, who is also president of DC's motion picture and television division, said the studio was indeed considering replacing Amber Heard in the Aquaman sequel.

Testifying during the trial of the case between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard,
Hamada confirmed that the studio had indeed considered removing Heard from the film more than once. However, as Hamada himself explained, the reason for any changes in the casting was far from being due to the personal affairs of Depp's ex-wife, but due to the alleged lack of so-called "chemistry" between her and Jason Momoa's character in the previous film.
Check out his words:

“We had concerns even at the end of the first film. I'm talking about the problem of "chemistry". We were wondering if there was chemistry between the two of them? I think editorially they were quite able to get that relationship to work in the first film, but there was a major concern that
that it took us a lot of effort to get to this point. So wouldn't it be better for us to redo everything? Find someone who has natural chemistry with Jason Momoa's character? So we could move forward in the direction we need.”
