The device includes two 5K (5,120 x 2,560) 90Hz OLED displays.

The device has sacrificed a few things to get its size.

For example, instead of adjusting knobs and other controls to get an ideal fit, Bigscreen asks you to scan your face using an iPhone app to produce a custom-fitted Beyond design.

The device requires a fairly powerful computer, and does not ship with controllers.

Instead you need to buy a compatible controller separately, like the Vive and Valve's Index.

From beer breweries on opposite ends of the globe to aircraft technicians in isolated airports, telecoms infrastructure firm Nokia has been looking for ways to use the metaverse to aid workers in remote locations. Nokia, who many remember as a manufacturer of consumer mobile devices.

Last year, Nokia began collaborating with an Australian university to deliver a 5G-connected microbrewery using metaverse technology, noted Joyce. Using augmented reality (AR), researchers from a brewery tech lab at the University of Technology Sydney have been working alongside researchers from a twin facility at Dortmund University in Germany.Meanwhile, in South Australia, Joyce said Nokia that has been using the metaverse to potentially assist Cessna aircraft technicians at remote airports. The Carnegie Mellon researchers wrote that they believe WiFi signals “can serve as a ubiquitous substitute” for normal RGB cameras, when it comes to “sensing” people in a room. Decentralized exchange trading activity has begun to pick up steam, with some of the DEX sector’s biggest players booking a notable bump in trading volumes this week. Ethereum-based Uniswap was leading the pack toward the end of the work week in New York, hovering around the 50% mark of total DEX volume, equating to a week-over-week double-digit jump to around $12 billion, data from DeFiLlama shows. Its closest rival, PancakeSwap was holding steady around 8% via the same market cap metric — up about 20% since the week prior, clocking in around $2.1 billion. The DEX still leads on trader count on Binance’s BNB Chain. Notable DEXes Curve and SushiSwap have also seen significant increases in trading volumes,  jumping 12% and 63% respectively, in the last seven days through early Friday morning in New York. Recently, the decentralized exchange (DEX) system known as CoW Swap came under assault, resulting in the loss of at least 550 BNB (BNB) due to a contract hack that permitted money transfers away from the platform. The occurrence was spotted by the blockchain surveyor MevRefund, which also noticed that the cash seemed to be migrating away from the CoW Swap exchange. In a Twitter thread, the maximum extractable value (MEV) searcher sent a warning to the DEX and the users of the exchange about the vulnerability. A wallet address was reportedly added as a "solver" of CoW Swap by using a multisig, as stated by the company BlockSec, which audits smart contracts. Открыть/Комментировать

SushiSwap reported that it had acquired Vortex Protocol for an undisclosed sum. The on-chain exchange will be a new product under the SushiSwap brand and be built on Sei Network, a blockchain employing Cosmos’ infrastructure, according to the Decrypt report. Unreleased decentralized derivatives exchange Vortex Protocol will provide customers with 10x margin trading on a range of assets. In Q2 2023, Sei Network, a brand-new Layer 1 blockchain that focuses exclusively on decentralized trading apps, and Sushi’s recently purchased Vortex Protocol will both go live on the mainnet. This is also part of SushiSwap’s plan announced in January, although it’s not the foundation that Sushi built in the first place.
