Taproot is one of the most important protocol updates to the Bitcoin network since SegWit in 2017, which includes:

— Schnorr signatures, a digital signature scheme that will improve the privacy and scalability of the first cryptocurrency's network. The Schnorr scheme will replace the current ECDSA.
— The Merkelized Abstract Syntax Trees (MAST) will also improve scalability and privacy by separating smart contracts into distinct parts, reducing the data size in a block and verifying ownership of those separated parts of the smart contract by example of any one hash in the tree.
— P2SH (Pay-to-Script Hash) is a multi-signature technology that reduces the load on the first cryptocurrency infrastructure in terms of data storage.

A resident of the state of Karnataka has testified about his involvement in the hacking of several popular online services, including the Bitfinex and BTC-e crypto exchanges.

In May 2015, taking advantage of a bug in the Bitfinex data center, Srikrishna Ramesh rebooted the server, reset the root password, logged in, reset the server password to withdraw funds, and transferred 1,500 BTC to his wallet.

Some Binance clients have found negative Dogecoin balances in their accounts, with any withdrawals blocked as users are allegedly in arrears.

The essence of the problem lies in the fact that on November 10, as a result of a software update failure, the exchange replayed an unknown number of Dogecoin transactions made several years ago: when the coins went to the accounts of unidentified persons, Binance demanded the senders of the original transactions to pay the damages at the current rate and blocked the balances.
