An example of profit fixing

Nothing complicated: when trading on the exchange, for example on CEX Bybit, we set three profit targets — 10%, 20% and 30% and the corresponding fixing levels.

When the 1st objective is achieved, you can close 30% of the position, when the 2nd objective is achieved - another 30%, and leave the remaining 40% until the 3rd objective is achieved.

In this case, even if the rate starts to fall after the 1st target is closed, you will save part of your profit and protect your position from possible losses.
