В России резко вырос спрос на технику ASIC
В четвертом квартале 2022 года в России резко вырос спрос на специализированные вычислительные устройства для майнинга криптовалют. Интерес россиян зафиксировали на технику ASIC, сообщает «Коммерсантъ».
Так, у дистрибутора Chilkoot продажи двух месяцев четвертого квартала превысили показатели за весь третий, а за девять месяцев оказались на 65% больше прошлого года. Юрлица стали покупать в рамках одной сделки на 30% больше оборудования, чем в начале года.
Спрос на технику ASIC увеличился из-за снижения закупочных цен — они стали максимально близкими к себестоимости производства, что является наилучшей точкой входа для инвестиций. Так, только с августа по октябрь стоимость оборудования для майнинга сократилась примерно на 20%.
Всего объем рынка на оборудования для майнинга криптовалют составляет 3–5 млрд рублей без учета двойного использования промышленных вычислительных мощностей. Популярность майнинга обусловлена выгодными условиями на размещение майнинговых мощностей. Кроме того, стоимость электроэнергии намного ниже, чем во многих странах.
Примечательно, что со второй половины сентября начали падать цены на видеокарты. Одна из причин — переход при майнинге эфира (ETH) с алгоритма Proof-of-Work на Proof-of-Stake. Цены на видеокарты сократились на 54%. Однако на 13% увеличились цены на жесткие диски из-за ухода иностранных производителей и проблем с поставками.
В сентябре состоялся переход второй по капитализации криптовалюты Ethereum с PoW на PoS-алгоритм. Это стало необходимостью, поскольку фоне роста популярности DeFi и NFT сеть ETH начала испытывать перегрузки. Результатом давления стал рост комиссий и замедление работы Ethereum. Demand for ASIC equipment has increased due to lower purchase prices - they have become as close as possible to the cost of production, which is the best entry point for investment. So, only from August to October, the cost of mining equipment decreased by about 20%.
The total volume of the market for cryptocurrency mining equipment is 3-5 billion rubles, excluding the dual use of industrial computing power. The popularity of mining is due to favorable conditions for the placement of mining capacities. In addition, the cost of electricity is much lower than in many countries.
It is noteworthy that since the second half of September prices for video cards began to fall. One of the reasons is the transition in the mining of ether (ETH) from the Proof-of-Work algorithm to Proof-of-Stake. Prices for graphics cards fell by 54%. However, the price of hard drives increased by 13% due to the departure of foreign manufacturers and supply problems.
In September, the second largest cryptocurrency in terms of capitalization, Ethereum, switched from PoW to the PoS algorithm.
